Introduction

PulseFeedback ("we", "our", or "us") operates pulsefeedback.io. This page explains how we handle your information. The short version: we collect almost nothing.

Camera Access

PulseFeedback requests access to your device's camera to detect your pulse. Camera frames are sent to the VitalLens API for pulse analysis and are not stored. Video is never recorded or kept by PulseFeedback or VitalLens.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information. Here is what is transmitted:

• Heart rate data — Your BPM number is shared ephemerally with other participants in your room via a WebSocket connection (PartyKit). This data is not stored and exists only while you are connected.
• Country — Your approximate country is derived from your IP address by our WebSocket server to display a flag next to your heart. We do not store your IP address.
• Analytics — We use Plausible for cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics. This includes aggregate page views and referrer information. No personal data is collected or tracked across sites.

What We Don't Collect

• No email addresses
• No cookies or tracking pixels
• No camera footage or video data
• No personal health records
• No behavioral tracking or cookies

Third-Party Services

• VitalLens API (rouast.com) — Processes pulse detection. Camera frames are sent to their API for analysis and are not stored. See their privacy policy for details.
• Cloudflare — CDN, hosting infrastructure, and real-time WebSocket rooms via PartyKit for sharing BPM between participants.
• Plausible Analytics (plausible.io) — Privacy-friendly, cookie-free web analytics. Collects aggregate page views and referrers only. No personal data, no tracking across sites. See their data policy.

Data Retention

We do not retain any data. When you close the page, all session data is discarded. There is no account system, no database of users, and no persistent storage of any kind.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to request access to or delete. You can revoke camera access at any time through your browser settings.

Children

PulseFeedback is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
